A clip of the amazing F-15 Eagle

Date:

The F-22 Raptor’s already impressive capabilities can be improved by the F-15 Eagle

This post’s stunning video is a tribute to the amazing F-15 Eagle. The F-15A/B/C/D is an all-weather, incredibly nimble tactical fighter designed to enable the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to establish and retain air superiority over the battlefield. Instead, the F-15E is a two-seat, dual-role, fully integrated fighter for deep interdiction, air-to-air, and all-weather missions.

In support of Operation Desert Storm in 1991, the F-15C, D, and E versions were sent to the Persian Gulf, where they demonstrated their exceptional fighting abilities. 34 of the 37 air-to-air wins of the Air Force were achieved by F-15C aircraft. The LANTIRN system was primarily used by F-15Es to hunt SCUD missile launchers and artillery locations at night.

Notable given that we just reported that the U.S. Air National Guard (ANG), the country’s primary F-15C/D fighter operator, may soon replace its 246 Eagle aircraft with updated F-16s in order to save money.

However, this may not be a sensible choice. The F-15 not only improves the already exceptional capabilities of the F-22 Raptor but also has a remarkable air-to-air kill ratio of 104 to 0.

Noteworthy is also when An F-15 and an F-22 teamed up to achieve an astounding 41-1 kill ratio during mock combats over Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB) as part of the Weapons Systems Evaluation Program (WSEP).
